How to Do Joker Makeup

The Joker, one of Batman's many enemies, covers his face with white makeup and draws a smile on his face. The makeup aids in hiding his identity. Two popular Joker makeup styles come from the comic books and the 2008 movie "The Dark Knight." The Joker uses a bright, vibrant makeup design; where as The Joker in "The Dark Knight" uses a grungier, dirty look. Cream-style makeup works well drawing the design on someone's face.

Things You'll Need

• White cream make-up
• Triangular makeup sponges
• Eye shadow brushes
• Black cream eyeshadow
• Red lipstick
• Green hair spray
• Purple pants
• White button up dress shirt
• Purple suit jacket
• Black or brown dress shoes
• Black gloves

Instructions

1. 

   The white makeup should cover the entre face, like clown makeup.

   Spread white cream makeup onto your finger tips. Rub the cream onto your entire face; forehead, cheeks, nose and chin. If you are basing the look off of the cartoon and comic character, the white cream needs to be thick. If you are using the "Dark Knight" version of The Joker, patches of your skin can show through the white makeup.

2. 

   Spread the eye makeup over the eye like the picture.

   Dip the eye shadow brush into the black makeup. Close one eye. Swipe the eye shadow brush over the entire lid. Apply more eye shadow to the brush. Swipe the brush over the area between the lid and the eyebrow.

3. 

   Extend the smile like the gold on in the picture.

   Apply lipstick on the lips. When applying the lipstick, extend the line past the lips about two inches. Draw the line with a slight upward curve to make a slight smile. Repeat on the other side. It looks like wide clown smile.

4. Close your eyes tightly. Spray all of the hair with the green hair spray. Use as much spray as desired. The more spray you use, the brighter the green color will be.

5. Put on a pair of purple pants, white dress shirt and purple suit jacket. Wear a pair of brown or black dress shoes and black gloves.
