How to Take a Snap Shot of Your Screen

Taking a snap shot of your computer screen involves taking whatever is currently being displayed on your desktop monitor and turning it into an image file. This is accomplished using a keyboard key called "Print Screen." This key is located on every computer keyboard, regardless of manufacturer or brand, that is designed to work with Windows-based computers.

Instructions

1. Press the "Print Screen" keyboard key. This will copy the image on your monitor to your Windows clipboard.

2. Click "Start."

3. Click "All Programs."

4. Click "Accessories."

5. Click "Paint." In Paint, click "Edit" and "Paste" to view the screen shot you took of your screen in the MS Paint window.
