DIY Pegboard Display
Pegboard displays can be made to show anything from tools to jewelry to a key chain collection. Because pegboard offers versatility and the ability to rearrange the display as needed, it is an ideal material to use for displays. There are a wide variety of hooks and other attachments for pegboards, which you can add more of as your collection grows.
Things You'll Need
- Tape measure
- Spray paint
- Pegboard panel, 18-by-24-inch
- 6 pegboard wall spacers
- 6 wood screws
- Screw gun
- Assorted pegboard hooks

Measure the wall where you will place the pegboard display. Mark the selected location with a pencil.

Spray paint the pegboard panel with a color of your choice. Allow the paint to dry at least four hours and apply a second coat of paint. Allow the paint to dry at least four hours before handling.

Align the pegboard with the 24-inch sides running vertical and the 18-inch sides running horizontal against the wall in the marked location.

Place a spacer behind the corners and in the center edge of the the 24-inch sides. Align the holes in the spacers with the outside holes in the pegboard. Drive a wood screw through the pegboard hole at each spacer into the wall using a screw gun.

Arrange the hooks in a configuration suitable for the items that you will display. Hang the display items on the pegboard after the paint has dried at least 72 hours.

Tips & Warnings
Use decorative knobs in place of the hooks to hang the display items.
Wear eye protection when operating power tools.
