How to Record & Split Pandora With Total Recorder

A limitation that Pandora users experience is the inability to download songs from favorite radio stations. Total Recorder makes recording your Pandora radio stream possible, all while automatically splitting the tracks for you to later play on your MP3 player. All it takes is going into Total Recorder's "Options" screen, then making the appropriate settings. If you haven't configured the program to do this before, do not worry. You can start recording your Pandora stations and splitting them in less than five minutes.

Instructions

    • 1

Open Total Recorder by clicking "Start," "All Programs" and "Total Recorder" from the list of installed programs on your computer.

    • 2

Go to "Options," "Settings," "Split," then put a checkmark in the box labeled "Create a new track separator for new clip info during background recording." This setting will tell Total Recorder to automatically split the audio being recorded into separate tracks.

    • 3

Choose the Pandora radio stream in which you wish to record by clicking "File," "Open URL," then putting the radio stream's URL in the field.

    • 4

Press "Record" to begin recording the audio stream, then press "Stop" when you done recording.

    • 5

Save the audio files to disk by clicking "Save As," then selecting "Save." The audio files that have been recorded from the Pandora radio stream will now be split and saved to your hard drive.
