How to Fully Uninstall Programs

The Windows operating system allows users to download and install applications. Users can also uninstall applications that are out-of-date or no longer useful. This management of software is an important task of maintaining your system.

Instructions

1. Shut down all applications.

2. Click the "Start" button in the lower-left corner of your desktop.

3. Click "Control Panel." Select "Programs" and then "Programs and Features."

4. Highlight the program you want to remove. Click the "Uninstall" button.

5. Click "Yes" to confirm. Click the "Finish" button when the uninstall is complete. Restart your computer.
