How to Move Back a Task Bar That Moved to the Side of the Screen

The taskbar holds your shortcut icons, toolbars, notification area and the "Start" button. By default, Windows places the taskbar at the bottom of your computer screen. Microsoft customization provides the option to move this taskbar to the top or sides of your computer screen. The taskbar is moved by clicking and dragging it into place. If your taskbar isn't locked, you can accidentally move the taskbar.

Instructions

1. Click a blank space on your taskbar.

2. Drag the taskbar back to the bottom of the screen.

3. Release the mouse button.

4. Right-click the taskbar and click "Lock the Taskbar." This will prevent your taskbar from accidentally moving.
