How to Change an URL Subdirectory Address
A website's subdirectory address, also called a subdomain, is a URL that points to a particular folder or a directory in a website. For example, a site with a URL "www.mysite.com" can have a subdomain of "cindy.mysite.com." Websites that offer free site hosting services, such as Typepad or Blogspot, use subdomains when assigning personalized URLs to members signing up. If you have a website of your own, you can make your own subdomains as well as manage and edit their properties using your web hosting account's control panel.
