How to Remove and Replace a Standard Appliance Bulb
Most ovens operate on a standard 40-watt appliance bulb. Before you even get started on replacing the bulb, make sure that the oven is cool and all of the controls are turned off. You don't want any mishaps while you're changing the bulb. Next, you're going to want to disconnect the power by either turning off the circuit breaker or removing the fuse.

Then, locate the glass bulb cover in the back of the oven and turn it counterclockwise to remove it. After you do that, remove the light bulb by turning it counterclockwise. You can now replace the bulb, just make sure to put the bulb cover back on. After everything is connected, you can reconnect the power and turn the circuit back on.
How to Remove and Replace a Halogen Bulb
If your oven uses a halogen bulb, you need to look at your appliance's use and care guide to see what the specific wattage of the halogen bulb is. It's important to make sure all of the oven controls are turned off and the oven itself is cold before you change out the bulb. To replace the bulb, turn off the power on the circuit breaker and remove the fuse. Then, remove the glass light cover by grabbing the front edge of the cover and pulling it away from the oven. Then you can remove the old bulb from the socket.
It's recommended that you wear cotton gloves when replacing the bulb. You can damage or decrease the life of the new halogen bulb if you touch it with bare fingers, so the use of a tissue or gloves is encouraged. You don't have to use those items when removing the dead bulb, though, since you can't use it anymore. After you replace the bulb, snap the bulb cover back into place. Then you can reconnect the power by turning the circuit breaker back on and reinstalling the fuse.
