How to Print Address Labels Using MS Word
Whether you stuff the blue post office box full every month or just send out a couple of letters and bills, save your hands from cramping up writing names and addresses by designing and printing address labels on the computer. Microsoft Word's quick labels setup has labels for just about any occasion printing within minutes.

Open Microsoft Word. Click the "Mailings" tab at the top of the screen. Click the second button, "Labels," on the ribbon/toolbar below the tab. The "Envelopes and Labels" window opens with the "Labels" tab defaulted.

Click the drawing of the label in the bottom-right corner of the window. Pull down the "Label vendors" menu and select "Microsoft" if it is not already defaulted. Scroll through the "Product number" options. For a standard sheet of 30 address labels, double-click the "30 Per Page" option. Click the "New Document" button and a new Word window opens with a sheet of the labels broken out label by label.

Click into the top-left label on the page. Type the name and address. Highlight the text.

Select the "Home" tab at the top of the screen if it is not already defaulted. Change the label text's appearance using the controls in the "Font" section of the ribbon/toolbar, such as changing the font, increasing the text size and changing the color.

Highlight the text on the label. Press the "Ctrl" and "C" keys to copy the text.

Click into the next blank label on the page. Press the "Ctrl" and "V" keys to paste in the label. Repeat to paste into all of the labels on the page until they are all filled.

Turn on the printer and load in the label paper. Click the "File" tab at the top of the screen. Select "Print." Click up the "Copies" box for the number of pages of labels to print. Click the "Print" button to print the address labels.
