How to Make a Wallet Holster
A wallet holster is a small holster for a small gun that can fit inside a front or back pocket. The holster looks somewhat like a wallet, which is how the holster gets its name. You can make a wallet holster yourself that will match the shape and contours of your gun. A few specialized tools are required for this project, and it will probably take at least one day to complete.
Things You'll Need

1
Take a piece of leather and wrap it around the entire gun, making a wallet-sized square or rectangle. Hold the leather together with small clamps, and remove the gun from the holster. Make sure the leather piece is not too large to fit in your back pocket.
-
2
Place the gun on the outside of the holster, just as it would lay on the inside of the holster. Draw a line across the leather where the trigger of the gun sits on the leather. Extend the line up and across the leather so that the top barrel of the gun is still half hidden by the leather.

3
Cut out the shape drawn onto the leather with scissors or a utility knife. Only cut one side of the leather. Do not cut the back piece of leather.
-
4
Punch several small holes all around the border of the holster to make it easier to sew the pieces of leather together. Sew the two sides of the leather together where the edges meet.
-
5
Trim the corner pieces of the leather so that it forms a rounded square or rectangle shape, just like a wallet.
-
6
Fit the gun back in the holster. Check to see if you need to sew any additional seams in the leather to help the gun fit better in the holster. Adjust the fit of the gun as necessary.

Tips & Warnings
The federal regulations regarding the use of a wallet holster are strict. Each state has slightly different laws about wallet holsters, but in all states it is necessary to have a concealed carry weapons license to carry a gun on your person. Check with your state laws before using a wallet holster. Some states have additional regulations surrounding the use of a wallet holster because of its small size and slightly disguised appearance. If you do not follow regulations, you can face a federal criminal charge for using a wallet holster.
