How to Become a Seller of New Orleans Saints Merchandise
The process for becoming a licensed seller of New Orleans Saints merchandise is the same as for any other NFL team. You must apply and be approved by NFL Properties LLC (NFLP), the business entity that administers the rights to all official NFL merchandise. If approved, you will become an official licensee of the NFL and be permitted to manufacture and sell New Orleans Saints merchandise. The league does not have wholesalers or distributors.

Go to NFL.biz and click on "Become A Licensee." Download and review the information that will guide you through the requirements for consideration and terms and conditions.

Meet minimum requirements. To qualify as a potential NFL licensee, you must be a manufacturer and not a distributor or middleman. You must also demonstrate the ability to pay the minimum royalty guarantee of about $100,000 a year and the ability to generate enough sales to meet the annual minimum guarantee on a long-term basis.

Meet insurance requirements. You must have a comprehensive commercial general liability policy, covering $3 million per occurrence and $6 million in the aggregate, from a carrier that has at least an A-VIII rating from A.M. Best.

Be in compliance with all federal, state and local laws and, where applicable, international rules and regulations, including all applicable labor laws.

Submit to a pre-qualification process that is the first stage of a licensing process that involves several stages for final approval. Complete a pre-qualification information form, which includes detailed information about you, your company and its officers, as well as financial information that includes a current annual report, two years of audited financial statements, two years of company tax returns as filed with the IRS, and a credit reference from a financial institution. In addition, your application package must include your current merchandise catalog or sales collateral materials and a business plan that details how you will use the NFL trademarks and sell New Orleans Saints merchandise at a profit.

Submit the completed form and all required information to NFLP by email. Only email submissions to newproducts@nfl.com are accepted. NFLP will review the information you submit and make a determination as to whether your unsolicited proposal qualifies for the NFLP licensing program. You will get a response within 90 days.
