How to Mix Vinegar & Water

Use a regular kitchen spoon to gently mix vinegar and water.

While you can't mix oil and water, you can successfully mix vinegar with water. You may want to do this to create a cleaning solution or for use in a recipe. With the proper ratio, mixing container and technique, you can easily mix vinegar and water.

Things You'll Need

• Vinegar
• Water
• Bowl
• Spoon or whisk

Instructions

1. Chose the correct type of vinegar for your project. Distilled white vinegar is good for a cleaning solution, whereas you may need a specific type such as cider vinegar for a recipe.

2. Pour one part vinegar into a bowl and add one part warm water for cleaning. Use the ratio specified in a recipe for a vinaigrette or for cooking.

3. Stir or agitate the two ingredients for a minute with a spoon or whisk. The ingredients will blend quickly and easily with little effort.
