How to Block a Number From Calling You on Alltel

Annoying callers can be avoided on an Alltel phone.

Alltel Wireless provides mobile service to six states within the United States. Many of the phones offered by the company are multimedia devices that can perform various functions, including text and email. If you are receiving calls from unwanted callers, you can prevent those calls from ringing your Alltel phone. Although the company does not offer Call Blocker or Call Screen, most of the phones offered by the company allow you to restrict your incoming calls.

Instructions

1. Tap or press "Menu" on your Alltel phone's home screen.

2. Select "Settings" and highlight "Phone Settings." Depending on your phone model, you may not need to select "Phone Settings."

3. Select "Security" and enter your phone's lock code. By default, the lock code for your Alltel phone is the last four digits of your mobile phone number.

4. Tap or select "Restrictions" from the list of options. Select "Calls."

5. Select "Allow Contacts" to only allow contacts saved in your phone's address book to call your phone. All other callers will be diverted to your phone's voice mail automatically.

Tips & Warnings

• In order to block their calls, an unwanted caller must not be in your phone's address book.

• Callers who are not included in your phone's address book will be sent to voice mail. Check your voice mail for important missed calls.
