How to Fill Your Cremation Pendant

How to Fill Your Cremation Pendant thumbnail
Filling a cremation pendant is a great tribute to your loved one.

There are several types of pendants that you can fill with your loved one's ashes after they have been cremated. There are pendants that you wear, some for display only, and others that are created from the ashes of your loved ones. Most people choose pendants that contain the ashes of their loved one because of the enormous expense of having cremation diamonds made. If you are like so many others that prefer to have the ashes contained so you can wear or display them, you will need to know how to fill the pendant when you receive it.

Instructions

    • 1

Unscrew the cork of the pendant with the Phillip's screwdriver by inserting the head of the screwdriver into the groove of the cork and turning to the left.

    • 2

Place the smallest opening of the funnel into the now opened area of the pendant. In most cases, the pendant will have come with a little funnel that is small enough to use with your piece.

    • 3

Pour the cremated ashes of your loved on into the larger portion of the funnel. They should fall through the bottom opening and fill the pendant.

    • 4

Remove the funnel from the cremation pendant and screw the cork back on with your fingers until you cannot tighten it anymore. With the Phillip's screwdriver, turn the cork to the right until it is tight and no ashes seep out from around the cork when you turn it over, cork side down.

Tips & Warnings

  • Don't over fill the pendant otherwise, you will not be able to get the cork back in and you will have ashes spill on you.
