How to Recover Iomega Automatic Backup Image Files
Iomega backup image files are backup files of your computer. If your computer stops working, you can use these images to reset your computer. If they are accidentally deleted from the hard drive, you can recover them with a free file recovery program. Three free programs on the Internet will recover these image files.

Download Recuva (see Resources). Open the program and select the hard drive where the backup image files were originally stored before deletion and press "Scan." Locate the backup image files by looking through the thumbnail images of deleted files. Click on the backup image files. Click "Restore" to recover them.

Open Tokiwa DataRecovery (see Resources). Choose the hard drive where the backup image files were located and click the "Scan Files" tab. The deleted files will appear on the screen. Click on the files you want and click "Recovery" to recover them.

Load Easeus (see Resources). "Scan" the hard drive from which the backup image files were deleted. Scroll through the list of deleted files. Find the backup image files and click "Restore."
