Peachtree Will Not Reinstall
"Sage Peachtree" is accounting software that gives an organization standard accounting and business management tools. If you have uninstalled the program and can not reinstall it, this can be due to a number of issues on the computer or network. Troubleshooting the installation may vary depending on whether you are running the program on one computer or if you run the program from a server that shares it with workstations on a network.

Uninstall the previous version of the software completely. If you have remaining files from the old installation, this may conflict with the new files.

Disable the antivirus and firewall programs on the computer. If you run Peachtree from a server, you may need to disable these programs on the server as well.

Click the "Start" button to launch the Start menu.

Type "msconfig" in the textbox and press the "Enter" key on the keyboard.

Navigate to the "Startup" tab. This will show you a list of programs that start when the computer boots. It is possible that certain programs could cause a conflict that prevent you from installing Peachtree on the computer.

Remove the check from the box next to all programs you do not need to launch on computer startup.

Navigate to the "Services" tab. This will show you all services that start when the computer boots up.

Place a mark in the box next to "Hide all Microsoft Services."

Remove the check from the box next to all services you do not need to launch on computer startup.

Click the "OK" button and allow the computer to reboot.

Log in to the computer using the administrator account and attempt to reinstall Peachtree again. With the firewall, virus scanner and all unneeded programs shut down, you should be able to install the program without any software conflicts.
