Coffee Urn Instructions
Coffee urns, also known as party pots and office coffeemakers, allow you to make a large amount of coffee at a single time. Most urns can make from 22 to 40 cups or more of coffee per batch and take from 20 minutes to almost an hour for the coffee to brew. When brewing coffee for a crowd, start the urn early in order to have fresh brewed coffee on hand when needed. Does this Spark an idea?

Fill the urn with the amount of water needed for the amount of coffee you are making. Most coffee urns have markings on the inside of the pot for various amounts of coffee.

Place the stem of the coffee urn in the center of the pot.

Place the coffee basket over the center stem, lining up the center hole of the basket with the stem.

Fill the coffee basket with the needed amount of coffee. On average, figure 1 tbsp. per cup of coffee being made. Spread the coffee grounds evenly around the basket.

Plug one end of the electrical cord into the coffee urn and the opposite end into an electrical outlet. The coffee will begin to brew automatically and a light will illuminate on the pot when the coffee is done.

Serve the coffee by placing a cup beneath the urn spout and pulling the spout handle forward.

Tips & Warnings
Always allow your coffee urn to cool before making the next pot. If you need to brew more coffee in a hurry, fill the urn with cold water and allow it to sit for three to five minutes to reset the thermostat before making the next pot.
