Race cars, whether they are daily drivers only raced on weekends or full-blown race cars with just a seat and steering wheel inside, can have tow straps. Race car tow straps are used to pull the race car from the parking area over to the track starting lanes. They are also used to pull the race car from the finish of the race over to the parking area since most race cars only have enough gas to make it down the track, not to drive around the parking area.

Instructions

    • 1

Stretch the tow strap out so that the ends are in plain view and untangled. Make sure the end of the strap with the hook is nearest the race car and the end with the loop is in front to be attached to the tow vehicle.

    • 2

Snap the metal hook at the end of the strap onto the small strap on the race car that is hanging from the tow hooks. Make sure the snap is securely attached. This small strap is permanently attached to the car so the tow strap can be quickly attached and removed from the race car.

    • 3

Back the tow vehicle up close to the race car and place the loop end of the tow strap over the tow hitch and ball. The race car can now be safely towed.

Tips & Warnings

  • Do not tow a race car without double-checking the tow strap and tow hooks.
