How to Update Lowrance Firmware for the H20C PhD

Featuring LCD display screens, support for saving track logs and the ability to mark various routes with waypoints, the Lowrance iFinder H20C and iFinder PhD provide you with satellite-supported navigation for trips on land and water. As with most GPS devices, both the iFinder H20C and iFinder PhD require updates to further enhance their performance. Installing the updates is simple and only takes a few moments.

Things You'll Need

• 8-MB microSD card
• MicroSD card reader

Instructions

1. Connect the microSD card reader with the computer and slip the 8-megabyte (MB) microSD card into the card reader.

2. Go online to the update page and "Install This Update From the Web" link. Save the file to your desktop (see Resources).

3. Follow the prompts provided by the Lowrance update installation wizard, which run automatically after the file has finished downloading. Click the "Finish" button to finalize the update.

4. Deactivate your Lowrance iFinder and insert the microSD card with the update into its microSD card slot. Press the "Power" button on the device. The update automatically installs.
