How to Run a Lowrance iFinder H20C

Learn the basic functions of the iFinder on land to ensure that you have an understanding of the device when you bring it out on the water.

Pinpoint Your Position

Step outside and walk to a location away from power lines or trees where you can acquire a clear satellite signal.

Press the "Power" button on the iFinder. Wait a few moments while the device acquires a satellite signal and calculates your position. Click the "Pages" button to scroll to the "Satellite Status" page to monitor the device's progress.

Click the "Pages" button to scroll from the "Satellite Status" page to the "Map" page. The screen will display a map of your current location. Use the arrow keys to scroll around the map and press the "Exit" key to return to your current position.
Navigate to a Position

Press the "Pages" button to display the "Map" page.

Press the arrow keys to adjust the cursor to a position on the map where you would like to navigate to from your present location.

Press the "Menu" button, click the "Enter" button and select "Exit." The "Map" page will display the route from your current location to your destination. Press the "Pages" button to move to the "Navigation" screen's compass, which will direct you to the destination.
Navigate to a Point of Interest

Press the "Find" button, select "Map Places" and press the "Enter" button.

Use the up and down arrows to scroll through the list of categories. Highlight the category of what you are looking for and press "Enter."

Highlight "Nearest" and press the "Enter" button.

Highlight the point of interest you would like to navigate to, press the "Enter" button and press the left arrow. Press the "Enter" button with the "Go To" command highlighted. The screen will display a mapped route from your present location to the point of interest.
