How to Delete Wikipedia History

If you frequently visit Wikipedia, you may notice that content on some pages is false or misleading because of the fact that anyone can add whatever he wants to most Wikipedia pages. You can help clean up any false information by deleting the content in question. You can delete the content by "Editing" the page, and you can edit any page unless it is marked "Semi-protected."

Instructions

1. Visit Wikipedia's home page. Find the article you wish to delete content from by searching for it in the "Search" box. For example, if you wanted to delete something from the Yahoo! Wikipedia page, type "Yahoo!" in the search box.

2. Find the section that contains content you wish to delete, and click the "Edit" button at the top right of that section. An Edit box containing the section's text will appear on the following page.

3. Highlight the content you wish to delete, and press "Backspace" or "Delete" on your keyboard. Enter the changes you made in the Edit Summary box below the Edit box. Click "Save Page." The content you deleted will no longer appear on the Wikipedia page.

Tips & Warnings

• Do not delete legitimate and correct content, as it is grounds for a block, which disables your editing privileges.
