How to Enable DHCP With an Actiontec GT701-WG Modem

Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol, or DHCP, is server/client protocol providing you with an automatic IP host with an IP address, default gateway and subnet mask. DHCP allows hosts to acquire configuration information, such as TCP/IP information via DHCP server. A DHCP Server holds information regarding available IPs and other configuration information, which is defined by a DHCP administrator. The DHCP Server responds to a DHCP client requesting this information. Actiontec is a leading provider of fiber, DSL and VDSL modems and routers. You can enable and configure the DHCP Server feature with your Actiontec GT701.
