VPNs let you access your work e-mail on any public network.

If you've tried to log in to your work e-mail at a coffee shop or library, you probably first had to configure VPN (virtual private networks) on your smart phone or computer. Many organizations employ VPNs to allow for secure transmissions on both Wi-Fi and cellular data public network connections.

      Check your User's Manual to determine what VPN protocols (e.g., L2TP, PPTP) your smart phone or computer supports.

      Consult your network administrator to find out what settings your company uses. If you previously set up a VPN on your computer, you can typically use the same settings on your phone.

      Configure the VPN by going to your computer or phone's network settings and selecting the option for VPN configuration. Finally, enable your VPN to open your connection.
