How to Make Frog Leg Pinatas
A children's party that focuses on frogs, such as a "Princess and the Frog" party, or merely a themed frog party due to an interest in biology will sometimes need a pinata. While a pinata based on a full frog is an option, another pinata idea is frog legs. While frog legs are often only part of the pinata, when making a pinata that is based solely on frog legs the challenge is slightly greater, as the legs are not connected to a body and are the full pinata. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Spread newspaper over the ground. This will minimize the mess of making a pinata.
-
2
Trace the frog leg pattern on the cardboard. Consider the size of the pattern and adjust the size for a larger pinata if preferred. Add some extra to the end of the legs so that it can close off the pinata. Pinatas are stuffed with goodies, so it needs to have a large enough thigh to fit the candies or treats.

3
Cut out the frog legs. Use scissors and cut along the traced lines from the pattern.
-
4
Roll the cardboard into a rounded shape length-wise to form the legs. Tape or glue the legs closed along the length. This will form a cylindrical shape of the legs that is larger at the top where the frog thighs are located and is smaller at the bottom toward the feet. Close off the end of the leg at the feet with a small piece of cardboard that cover the bottom of the cylinder while allowing the feet to avoid the cylinder shape. Glue or tape the two legs together at the middle.

5
Paint the frog legs green. Allow the paint to dry completely. Fill the frog legs with treats.
-
6
Fold down the extra cardboard from tracing and tape the pinata closed.
