How to Build a Backyard Football Goalpost
In football, there are two goalposts, one on each end of the field. Under a couple of different circumstances, a team earns either one point or three points if the team's kicker can kick the ball through the goalpost's two uprights. Building a football goalpost in your backyard is a great way for a prospective kicker to practice, or to entertain guests during a football party. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1
Measure 4 feet on two of the 10-foot PVC pipes, then cut the pipes on the 4-foot marks, resulting in two 4-foot pieces and two 6-foot pieces.
-
2
Measure 2 feet on two of the 10-foot PVC pipes, then cut the pipes on the marks, resulting in two 2-foot pieces and two 8-foot pieces.
-
-
3
Rejoin one 2-foot PVC pipe and one 8-foot PVC pipe using a T-shaped PVC connector. Do the same for the other 2-foot PVC pipe and the other 8-foot PVC pipe. Ensure that the perpendicular connector is facing up, as these pieces will act as the footing for the goal post, extending 2 feet in front of the upright and 6 feet behind it.
-
4
Place an elbow connector on the other end of each of the 8-foot PVC pipes.
-
5
Connect the two sections by inserting a 10-foot PVC pipe into the end of each of the elbow connectors. This will provide support for the upright and complete the base of the goalpost.
-
6
Insert the two 4-foot PVC pipes into each of the T-shaped connectors, so that the pipes are perpendicular to the ground.
-
7
Connect the other two T-shaped connectors to the tops of the 4-foot PVC pipes, then connect the 6-foot PVC pipes to the other side of the T-shaped connectors to form the uprights. Ensure that the horizontal portion of the T-shaped connectors are facing inward toward one another.
-
8
Insert the final 10-foot PVC pipe into the T-shaped connectors to form the bottom of the goal post.
