How to Assemble a Clamp Light
A clamp light is a lamp with a high-intensity bulb that can be connected to almost any surface by the spring clamp that makes up the body of the device. This means that you can have additional light in dark areas or a light where there in none now. This simple job needs no wiring or special electronic knowledge. Twist the metal wing nut on the side of the clamp until it is fully loosened. The clamp is the part shaped like a letter "C" with arms extending horizontally from the left side.

Hold up the holster part of the light, and locate the ball-ended screw at one end. The holster is the part comprised of a long metal spring and a means of attachment at one end.

Slip the ball of the screw in between the straight arms on the clamp. The ball is on the end of the holster further from the attachment piece.

Push the "C"-shaped arms of the clamp around the body of the light, and twist the wing nut clockwise to tighten it as far as you can. As you turn the nut, the clamp will close around both the light and the ball of the holster.

Slip the holster onto the point you want to attach the light. Connect the light to a power source to use it.

Tips & Warnings
Have a friend hold the holster and light for you while you tighten the clamp if you find it difficult to do on your own.
Do not use light bulbs of a higher wattage than your lamp is rated for.
