Customizing your graduation stole is a way of adding a personal touch to your cap and gown uniform. It could also serve as representation of your journey through school and its memories, new-found relationships and accomplishments. Creating a stole in remembrance of some of those moments will make it an excellent keep sake item that you can cherish for many years.       Locate a company that allows you to order your graduation stole online. GradStoles.com and Primeheritage.com are two online companies that offer stole customization online.

      Log onto the business website of your choice. Choose your school color from its selection of stoles, the thread color and the font style. The thread color is the color that's used to create the text.

      Select the type of stole you want to purchase. You have a choice between a stole with fringed ends, one with a X-pointed end and lastly, there's the standard pointed end.

      Choose your customized options. You have two sides to decorate. Create a Greek themed stole if you are in a fraternity, sorority or honors society. Include the letters and/or symbols of the organization on one side along with your graduation class year and name on the other.

      Add an inspirational personal or famous quote to your stole. Include the names or the initials of the individuals who were instrumental in helping you graduate.
