How to Build a Robot on the Internet

How to Build a Robot on the Internet thumbnail
An online robot can be just as much fun to build as a real life robot.

Because a robot is something you'd actually like to play with in real life, the best way to build a robot online is to play robot-building games. Although you can't actually send away for the robot you build, you can use the games to get a good idea of the type of robot you'd like to make. Then, you can copy down the idea and use it eventually to build a real life robot. Or, you can just have fun playing the robot games.

Instructions

    • 1

Click on the Build a Robot game at Free Online Games. (See Resources.) After the advertisement, the robot game will automatically load. Click anywhere on the screen to begin playing. Drag pieces of the robot from the shelves onto the robot itself. You can drag eyes, mouths, arms, legs and exterior pieces like rockets and nuts and bolts to the robot and place them anywhere. You can also move something once you've placed it. At the bottom of the screen, you can click to change the eye color of the eyes, the shape of the body or even the music. When you are finished, you can save your robot and go to the gallery to look at the robots that other people have built.

Play Build a Robot 3 at Addicting Games. (See Resources.) Click on the box to start the game. Choose "Build a Robot" from the game list, then wait for the game to load. Once it has, drag and drop pieces of the robot onto the robot shell to create the robot that you would like to build. You can drag arms, legs, bodies, heads and details like eyes and mouths onto your robot. Click choices in the menu along the side to give your robot abilities as well.

Click on Make a Robot. (See Resources). Drag and drop robot body parts from the menu on the left hand side to the blank space on the right-hand side. Continue to do this until you have created the robot you want to create. Then you can save the robot and the image to use later online.
