How to Upload a Route on a Nuvi

Program you Nuvi prior to driving to avoid accidents.

While your Garmin Nuvi GPS comes with the ability to search for different locations, such as restaurants, stores and other businesses, it does not come programmed with every location you are interested in visiting. Uploading routes to a personalized location allows your Garmin Nuvi GPS device to direct you to locations it otherwise does not recognize.

Instructions

1. Click "Where To?" on the home screen of your Nuvi. Click "Address" and select "Spell City."

2. Type in the city name of your destination and select "Done."

3. Enter the address number or house number of your destination and select "Done." Enter the street name of your destination and select "Done." Your Garmin Nuvi GPS will now take you to the driving map.

4. Press "Go" on the driving map when you are ready to go to your destination. You have now uploaded a route on your Garmin Nuvi.
