How to Become a Satellite Dealer
As technology advances, the use of satellites for products and services increases. Television, radio, phone service and Internet can all be delivered via satellite to even the most remote regions of the world. If you want to start a business of your own, and you have a love for satellite electronic products and services, then you could easily become a dealer. All you need are a supplier, a license and a business plan.

1
Come up with a business plan. Your business plan should be the blueprint of your business, start to finish. Include what satellite services or products you're going to deal in (such as phones, Internet, radio and TV), where your physical location should be, how well your product has done in past years, your startup costs and anything else you can think of. If someone who knows nothing about your business reads over your business plan, then that person should be fully educated on what you need and your chances of success.

2
Obtain all necessary licenses to open your business. You'll need a business license, which you can apply for at your local courthouse or town hall, to be approved for business. You'll also need a physical location and a website to operate a storefront where you can sell products and have a presence on the Web.

3
Obtain a supplier for your product, such as Skycasters, Winegard or Online Satellite Communications. You'll need to contact the manufacturer or distributor and sign an agreement to become an endorsed representative to sell their goods. Some contracts prohibit you from selling other brand names, but other contracts are nonexclusive, so make sure you read the fine print.
-
4
Open your store. Once you have all your red tape taken care of, employees hired and your product arranged, it's time to open your doors for business.
