How to Operate a Net10
Net10 is a cell phone service provider that specializes in pre-paid cellular telephones. Net10 phones and phone cards can be purchased at major retail outlets, by calling Net10 at 1-877-836-2368 or by ordering from the website at www.Net10.com. Since Net10 is a pre-paid service, the minutes which are used on the cell phone have to be added by using a Net10 phone card. Many prefer pre-paid cellular service in order to better manage the costs of maintaining a cell phone.

1
Purchase a Net10 cell phone from a major retail outlet, by calling Net10 at 1-877-836-2368, or by visiting the website at www.Net10.com. When you purchase the cell phone, there are no minutes for use on the phone. To activate the cell phone, minutes must be purchased and programed into the phone using a Net10 phone card.

2
Buy a Net10 phone card. These phone cards can be purchased through Net10 or from a major retail outlet. The phone cards come with a programed number of minutes already loaded. For example, some cards will have 300 minutes, while others will have 900 minutes. The card with 300 minutes may cost $30 (10 cents per minute) and the card with 900 minutes may cost $90 at 10 cents a minute as well.
Net10 phone cards expire after a certain amount of time. Once the minutes on the card expire, they are no longer usable.

Load the minutes onto your Net10 phone. Rub out the silver strips on the back of the Net10 phone card and reveal an 800 and a pin number. From your Net10 cell phone handset, dial the 800 and follow the prompts to input the pin number. Safeguard this pin number, because this is the only place where this pin number appears.
-
4
Receive your confirmation text message from Net10 that indicates the number of minutes that you just added. There is no charge for this text message and all other text messages cost 5 cents per text.

Tips & Warnings
You must safeguard the pin number from your Net10 phone card because if someone else recovers this pin number and uses it, then your minutes on that phone card are lost.
Net10 phone cards do not operate with any other service provider cell phones. You must use the minutes from the Net10 card with a Net10 phone.
