How to Unlock a MIO C320b
If you've purchased a Mio DigiWalker C320b GPS system, centered around a 4.3-inch touch-screen display, it could become locked up if you move outside its coverage area, if your firmware becomes dated or your SD card is acting up. You might have to buy a DVD map update from the company (as of November 2010, $59.99) to unlock all of your C320b's features. Or a few troubleshooting steps might help free it.

1
Open the SD-card slot door on the side of your C320b. Push the card in with your fingertip. It should pop out. If it's already unseated when you open the door, this could be affecting your base map, which is often loaded from the SD card in U.S. models, since Mios are manufactured in Europe.
-
2
Spray a burst of compressed air into the card slot. Wipe any residue or dust from the SD card with a cloth. Push your SD card back into its slot until seated and flush with the slot edge. Close the card slot door.

3
Turn on your C320b. If it's not turning on, make sure you're plugged into your car lighter or outlet power and hold down the power button for 20 seconds. Then release and push the button again. If not working, contact the Mio support department via email. (See Resources)
-
4
Connect an Internet-ready computer and your C320b with the accompanying USB cable. Log in to your computer's desktop.
-
5
Download MioSync to your computer (See Resources). Click "Save File." Place the file in a convenient location.
-
6
Double-click the MioSync icon after the download, then click "Run." Finish the installation prompts to fully install the program, which will detect your C320b and inform you whether any operating system upgrades are available.
