West Bend Iced Tea Maker Directions

Iced tea is a great summer drink.

Bottled iced tea is convenient, but nothing beats the taste of a freshly brewed glass of iced tea. The West Bend Iced Tea maker was designed to give tea lovers an easy way to brew up to two quarts of iced tea to their specifications in just a few minutes. Getting started with your West Bend Iced Tea Maker is a relatively quick and painless process.

Instructions

1. Remove all components of the tea maker from the packaging and rinse thoroughly. The filter should be rinsed in warm water and everything else should get a quick wash with warm, soapy water.

2. Fill the pitcher to the water level marker with cold water and pour the water into the reservoir on the tea maker.

3. Remove both the brew basket and filter.

4. Use a small amount of water to moisten the inside of the sweetener tray, then fill with up to one cup of sugar, as desired. The sweetener tray should be left in the unit regardless of whether you are adding sweetener.

5. Replace the brew basket and place your favorite iced tea bags inside. If using loose tea, place the filter in the brew basket before inserting the tea. How much tea you add depends on tea bag size and desired strength, but generally speaking you'll need between six and nine regular-sized bags, two to three family-sized bags, or one to three tablespoons of loose tea. 6. Close the water reservoir and set the steeping control knob to the tea strength of your choice.

7. Fill the pitcher to the "ICE" level with ice cubes.

8. Place the pitcher under the drip spout on the tea maker and plug the device into an AC outlet. The tea maker will automatically brew for ten minutes.
