How to Clean a Top-Load Washer
Top-load washers provide straightforward cleaning without the extra maintenance required for a front-load machine. Top-load washers do require occasional cleaning to maintain their appearance and top performance. In addition to dust buildup on the exterior, top-load washers can accumulate detergent and fabric softener residue in the drum or dispenser. This residue can lead to odors, mold and mildew, which may interfere with the cleanliness of your laundry. Do a basic cleaning once or twice yearly to keep dirt, dust and soap or detergent residue in check. Does this Spark an idea?
