Microsoft IE Patch Repairs

Click the Windows "Start" button in your task bar. Click "All Programs," and then click "Windows Update." This shortcut opens the Windows Update utility.

Click the link on the left labeled, "Check for updates." This takes a few minutes, and the update utility returns a list of suggest updates for your computer, including the latest IE patch repairs. To view the updates, click the link labeled "View available updates."

Click the "Install" button to apply the updates. If you only want to install the IE updates, and not the other patches, remove the check marks next to all patches except for the IE patches. This will only install the IE updates without any other Windows updates.

Reboot your computer. After the patch installation completes, you are prompted to reboot. Click "Restart" to complete the process.
