How to Adjust the VoIP QoS
VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) software allows users to make and receive calls via Internet technology. You can make calls to other users who have a VoIP service setup on their computer, or call land line phones at an inexpensive rate. However, if the QoS (Quality of Service) of your VoIP calls stays at a low level, you need to troubleshoot the problem to improve your sound quality.
Instructions

1
Reboot your computer.
-
2
Update your VoIP software via the provider's website.
-
-
3
Exit all other programs or processes on your computer when you make or receive a VoIP call. To maintain good sound quality on your calls, most VoIP services require a large amount of bandwidth.
-
4
Purchase a top-notch set of headphones for your VoIP calls to improve the quality of your calls. You can find good headsets at local computer stores or buy one online. Ask the people with whom you communicate on a regular basis via your VoIP service if they have a good headset they could recommend.
