How to Barbeque Steaks
Steaks may be a juicy, thick, beef steak or a steak cut from a salmon. Grill the steak on your backyard barbecue, or consider attending a couple of contests and taking your grill on the road. Consider the marinade or rub prior to grilling and whether you should turn or not to turn the steaks while barbecuing. You really can't go wrong when barbecuing a steak, as long as you cook it to your taste. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- 1 onion
- 1 clove of garlic
- 5 shallots
- Soy sauce
- Teriyaki sauce
- Spatula
- Basting brush
- Lemon
- Oil

Slice the onions, the garlic and the shallots, and put them into a large plastic bag. Add 2 teaspoons of brown sugar with 1 cup of soy sauce and 1 cup of teriyaki sauce into the bag. Seal the bag and shake it. Add the steak, shake again and put in the refrigerator.

Fire up the grill. Cut a lemon in half and run it over the rungs of the grill, then brush the grill with a light oil coat.

Remove the steaks from the refrigerator after three hours. Take them from the bag and put them on the grill. Close the lid.

Open the lid and turn the steaks over after 5 minutes. Return the lid to a closed position.

Allow the steaks to cook an additional 5 minutes. Check them to see if they are cooked to your preference. Cut into the steak and look at the color. Rare steaks are red, while well done is brown inside. Cook for additional time if you prefer a well-done steak,

Remove the meat from the grill once your steak is cooked.

Tips & Warnings
Season steak to taste.
Add more time for a more cooked steak.
Don't overcook or steak will be dry and tough to eat.
