Rulers can help you accurately measure your die cuts.

Die cutters can be used in schools or at home to cut fun shapes for craft projects, holidays or special events. These machines are easy to use and can handle paper and other materials. • 2

Click on the thumbnail picture of the ruler that you want to print to bring up the full size image.

    • 3

Load card stock into your printer.

    • 4

Print the ruler out. You will usually click on "File" and "Print" to print from most computer programs.

    • 5

Cut the ruler out and attach it to the side of your die cutter with tape or glue.

    Create Your own Ruler

    • 6

Measure a 1/2-inch strip on your card stock with a ruler on the long side of the paper. Trim the paper strip so it measures 8 inches by 11 inches.

    • 7

Fold the paper in half lengthwise two times to create four sections along the top of the page. Open the paper and mark the creases along the top of the page with a pencil.

    • 8

Fold the paper the opposite direction two times to create four sections. Unfold the paper and mark four marks on each line under the top line that correspond with the marks on the top line.

    • 9

Use the ruler to measure and mark the other inch marks on the paper. Mark half inches on the next line with the inch markers and 1/4 inch markers on the third and fourth lines.

    • 10

Fold the paper to use your ruler of choice. Use tape to attach your ruler to your die cut machine.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can use regular paper for your ruler, but card stock is thicker and will last longer.
