The Dyson DC28 Animal vacuum cleaner is designed to maintain powerful suction for removal of pet hair and debris. The Dyson Animal includes two washable filters that never need to be replaced. The filters remove allergens and other particles as small as cigarette smoke while you vacuum to expel clean exhaust air. Wash the filters every three months, or more often to keep your Dyson Animal vacuum performing with maximum efficiency. The filters don't require any cleaning products.

Turn off and unplug the vacuum cleaner.

Locate and press the filter release catch to the bottom-left of the canister. Lift the filter housing out of the vacuum.

Press down on the cylcone release button, and lift it out of the vacuum along with the canister, using the handle.

Remove the soft filter from the filter housing by pulling it forward.

Locate the release catch from the vacuum beneath the canister. Lift the release catch to open the lid and lift out the HEPA filter.

Rinse the soft filter under cold running water, and wring it out. Repeat this until the water runs clear.

Rinse the HEPA filter under cold running water, and shake it to remove the excess water. Repeat this until the water runs clear.

Set the filters in a warm, well-ventilated area away from direct heat. Allow them to air dry for 24 hours.

Place the filters in their respective locations on the vacuum.
