How to Convert My Alltel Phone to a Prepaid Phone

Have one less bill with the Alltel prepaid plan.

Alltel is a large cell phone provider that has partnerships with Verizon and AT&T. You may be under one of the contract or package plans for your phone. However, you may find it difficult to make the monthly payments. On the other hand, you may not use your phone often, or may only want it for emergencies. In any of these situations, you can convert your Alltel phone to a prepaid plan. Luckily, you can easily make the switch from your computer.

Instructions

1. Navigate to Alltel's website (see Resources). Enter your zip code and click "Search."

2. Sign in with your username and password. Click "Sign In."

3. Go to your account page. Select "Change Calling Plan."

4. Select "Change Price Plan" under "My Plans and Features." Choose a prepaid plan for your phone. Click "Confirm" to accept the changes.

• The changes you made to your plan will reflect in your next month's bill.

• Pay off your outstanding balance due on your contract or package plan.
