How to Get a Westell Password

Westell is a company that manufactures and distributes various routers to corporations and individuals. Routers allow you to connect your computer to the Internet using the Internet Service Provider (ISP) of your choice. You may customize your Westell router to change how you access the Internet and who can access your Internet connection. You can also control which Internet settings may be changed and who is authorized to make changes to your router. To customize your Westell router settings, you need to know your Westell administration password.

Instructions

1. Look under the bottom of your Westell device. Look for the "IP Address."

2. Open a web browser on your computer by double-clicking on the icon. Click in the "Address" bar. Type the IP address you found under the Westell router. Press "Enter" on your keyboard.

3. Type in the default username "Admin" in the username field. Type in the default password "password" in the password field. Press "Enter" on your keyboard. If the password is incorrect, you must reset your router to get the password.

4. Look on the back of the Westell router. Press and hold the "Reset" button on the back of the device.

5. Re-type the username and the password in the appropriate fields on the computer screen. Press "Enter."

6. Click the "Password" tab. Type in a new password. Confirm the new password. Click "Save."
