How to Use a Mio GPS System
Mio manufactures driver-friendly GPS devices with touchscreens, large buttons and voice commands on some models. MioMAP, Mio's latest software, has a number of features including planned routes, saved POIs and useful parking and gas features.

Tap the magnifying glass labeled "Find" to begin on the Mio device. Without any points saved you cannot create a a route or select a saved location to return to.

Tap "Find a street address" and enter your home address. Tap "Add to My Places," then tap the "Save as Home" to save the location as your Home. Or tap "Save as My Place" to simply add it as another POI, or point of interest, in the database. Also, you can just tap the "Go" button to navigate to the address you entered.

Return to the main Find screen and tap "Find by keyword," then enter the keyword of a location. Enter "Bank" and a list of nearby banks will appear on the screen. Select the bank you wish to travel to, then tap "Go" to begin navigation to the bank. Optionally, use the "Add to My Places" option to save that bank in your database.

Return to the beginning of the MioMAP dialog and tap the "My Places" icon to bring up your list of saved locations. You can tap "Recent places" to see the last few locations you traveled to or you can select one of your saved places, then tap the "Go" button to begin navigation.

Return to the main screen and tap one of the shortcut buttons such as "Cash," "Food" or "Gas" to bring up lists of nearby results for each. You can sort by distance or type to find what you need, then tap the "Go" button to begin navigation.

Tips & Warnings
The "Traffic" button is a great way to see the current traffic situation around you so you can avoid accidents or congestion. The "Explore" button is a great way to find new places near your location. You can save a series of waypoints and access them later from the "Planned Trips" button.
