How to Debug Windows CE

Windows Embedded Compact (CE) is an operating system developed by Microsoft for use with devices that want to customize the Windows operating system and don't need to use the full feature set, such as satellites. It is distributed to original equipment manufacturers who then tailor it to meet the requirements of their clients. Software bugs are flaws or errors that cause an application not to function properly. Debugging Windows CE so that it performs correctly requires a few steps to set up.

Instructions

    • 1

Select "Connectivity Options" from the "Target" menu.

    • 2

      Select "Core Service Settings."

    • 3

Check the box next to "Enable KITL on Device Boot."

    • 4

Click "Apply." You have now debugged Windows CE.
