How to Use a Bialetti Coffee Maker
Alfred Bialetti introduced the world to his "Moka Express" espresso coffee maker in 1933. The way local women washed their clothing inspired the design of the machine. Bialetti's machine was forged from aluminum and provided users with the ability to create espresso in the comfort of their homes. Adoption of the machine spread like wildfire, with Renato, the major producer of the pots, producing over 18,000 per day according to Jeffrey T. Schnapp in his article "The Romance of Caffeine and Aluminum." A Bialetti coffee maker is a metal pot with three separate compartments. Does this Spark an idea?
