How to Enable TightVNC on an a Symantec Endpoint

Symantec Endpoint Protection, an enterprise security software product including anti-virus and firewall protection, automatically blocks incoming traffic. TightVNC runs as a server on a computer, allowing other computer users on the network to connect to the TightVNC server and operate that computer's graphical desktop remotely, as if they were sitting in front of the computer. This won't be possible with the default configuration of Symantec Endpoint until you allow the ports TightVNC uses in the Symantec Endpoint Protection firewall.
