How do I Use a DEI Starter Remote?

Remote starters can be added to your key chain for your vehicle.

Remote starters are found on most car models, and are used to start your engine wirelessly. With a starter, you can engage your car's ignition without ever leaving your house, and start the car for as long as 10 minutes at a time. This will allow you to warm up the vehicle in the winter without having to worry about leaving your ignition key in the car. Remote starters made by Direct Electronics (DEI) can be used to start, stop and extend the time of your auto start.

Instructions

1. Press the lock button on your remote and then hold the starter button until the car starts and then release. Your engine will then be auto started for 10 minutes.

2. Wait until the engine stops and then press "Lock" and hold the starter button again. This will start your car for an additional 10 minutes, and can be done as many times as desired.

3. Press "Lock" and hold the starter button while the ignition is running to stop the car's auto start.

4. Enter your car with your ignition key and turn the car "On" to end the auto start and engage the ignition by starting the car.
