How to Recover a Windows 2008 Password

If one of your users has forgotten her Windows Server 2008 password, you can change the password through the administrative panel. Windows Server 2008 allows you to set up users with multiple permissions to access the network. Recovering a Windows Server 2008 password is much simpler than recovering a regular Windows password, which requires additional software.

      Click "Start," on the Windows 2008 machine, then "Administrative Tools," then "Computer Management."
