How to Measure Replacement Hubcaps

A hubcap is a cover on a vehicle wheel. Hubcaps can be interchanged to incorporate a specific style or color. It's important to learn how to measure hubcap size to ensure you purchase the correct size for your wheel. But never measure hubcap size with a tape measure, as you will not get the proper number.

Instructions

1. Place the vehicle in "Park" and go to the wheel on which the hubcap needs to be replaced.

2. Read the measurement found on the side of the tire. There will be three numbers separated by a slash. These numbers are the factory measurements of the wheel.

3. Find the number after the "R." This is the hubcap size. For example, in the measurement ""P175/65/R14," the hubcap size is 14 inches.
