The eTrex Won't Find the Satellites

The eTrex can be used to find your way while hiking.

The eTrex is a type of Garmin product. It is called a personal navigator because it has GPS technology that can find satellite signals, locate where you are and help you get where you want to go. This device is designed to be used while navigating outdoors, such as while hiking or camping. If you can't get your Garmin eTrex to locate the satellite signal, then you will need to do some troubleshooting to find the problem.

Instructions

1. Go outside. Your eTrex cannot find the satellite signal while indoors.

2. Press the "power" button of your eTrex to turn on the device.

3. Wait for the device to find the satellite signal. It could take five minutes or more if you have never turned on the eTrex before. If you have, then it should take about 15 to 45 seconds.
