How to Use the SBS Backup Wizard to Back Up SQL Server Files

Microsoft Small Business Server is a version of Microsoft Windows Server that is designed for small organizations. It centralizes a number of Microsoft server products and allows the administrator to back up, deploy and configure new services with minimum overhead and technical knowledge. The Small Business Server Backup Wizard or SBS can be configured to quickly perform backups of SQL server files to an external device.

      Click "Start," then "Server Management."

      Click "Backup."

      Click "Backup SQL Server Data Storage" in the Backup Configuration Wizard dialogue and then click "Next."

      Enter the drive letter or network name of the remote backup location, then click "OK."

      Click "Backup Now."
